The most widespread form of Romanian folk music is the doina[?]. There are other styles of folk music strongly influenced by Turkish music; these include the bocet[?], cāntec batrānesc[?] (traditional Gypsy epic ballads) and the cānd ciobanu şi-a pierdut oile[?].
