Museum of Jurassic Technology

On the 9300 block of Venice Blvd., Culver City, California, by a copy shop and a bus stop, there stands a small, unassuming shop front with a sign above the door that reads The Museum of Jurassic Technology.

The museum has this to say for itself:

The learner must be led always from familiar objects toward the unfamiliar guided along, as it were, a chain of flowers into the mysteries of life.

Like a coat of two colors, the Museum serves dual functions. On the one hand, the Museum provides the academic community with a specialized repository of relics and artifacts from the Lower Jurassic, with an emphasis on those that demonstrate unusual or curious technological qualities. On the other hand, the museum serves the general public by providing the visitor a hands-on experience of "life in the Jurassic."

It must be seen to be believed.
