Mukhabarat

Mukhabarat is the Arabic term for intelligence, as in intelligence agency. Organisations using the name include:

Iraq: Da'irat al-Mukhabarat al-Amah[?] or Jihaz al-Mukhabarat al-Amma[?], the Iraqi Intelligence Service[?] (IIS) or General Intelligence Directorate[?] (GID), formerly Jihaz al-Khas[?], commonly known as Mukhabarat.
