MPEG-7

Unlike MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 MPEG-7 is not a standard which deals with coding of moving pictures and audio but a multimedia content description standard.

Especially the combination of MPEG-4 and MPEG-7 is described by MPEG as Tools for Killer Applications. The combination of these two standards is the ideal solution for efficient streaming of content, content manipulation and indexing of this content.
