Moth

A moth is an insect of the order Lepidoptera, similar to the butterfly. Moths are generally nocturnal. They can be distinguished from butterflies in several ways.

The silkworm is the larva of a species of moth. Some species of moth are regarded as pests because their larvae eat fabric such as clothes and blankets[?]. They can be repelled by the scent of cedar or naphthalene (the chemical used in mothballs).
