Middelkerke

Middelkerke is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Leffinge[?], Lombardsijde[?], Mannekensvere[?], Middelkerke proper, Schore[?], Sint-Pieters-Kapelle[?], Slijpe[?], Westende[?] and Wilskerke[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Middelkerke had a total population of 16,583 (8,096 males and 8,487 females). The total area is 76.01 km² which gives a population density of 218.17 inhabitants per km².
