Max Weinberg

Max Weinberg is an American drummer. He rose to success as the drummer for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Since the inception of Late Night with Conan O'Brien, he has been the leader of the show's band, the Max Weinberg Seven[?].

In the show, Weinberg's persona is of a sexual deviant (perhaps best exemplified by the "Max on Max" sketch), which goes against Weinberg's very clean-cut and genial appearance.

He is the author of The Big Beat: Conversations with Rock's Greatest Drummers (1991), a series of interviews with drummers from all eras.
