Drummer
A drummer is a musician who plays the drums, particularly the drum kit.
Drummers are traditionally the butt of other musicians' jokes. An example: "What do you call someone who hangs around with musicians? A drummer". Compare with the viola, the butt of classical musicians' jokes.
In reality, good drummers are expert musicians with an acute ear for rhythm, who act as the driving rhythmic force for the entire musical group. Some cultures have drum music[?], music that is performed by drums alone.
