Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is a quasi-governmental organization which controls the Boston subway and commuter rail systems.

Originally the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, or the MTA, as immortalized in the popular folk-protest lament Charlie on the MTA[?].
