Waterland (population: 17,173) is a municipality in the north-western Netherlands, in the province of North Holland. The municipality covers an area of 65.00 km² (of which 50.24 km² water).

The municipality of Waterland consists the following towns, villages and townships: Broek in Waterland[?], Ilpendam[?], Katwoude[?], Marken, Monnickendam[?], Uitdam[?], Watergang[?], Zuiderwoude[?].
