Marica

In Roman mythology, Marica was often another name for Fauna.

More commonly, however, Marica was a nymph, the mother of Latinus by Faunus (who was also occasionally her son). The sacred forest near Minturnae (cur: Minturno[?]) was dedicated to Marica. A lake nearby was named after her.

Virgil VII, 47; Livy XXVII, 37,2
