Lublin

Lublin is the biggest town in eastern Poland in lubelskie[?] region of which it is the capital.
Population : 361,400 (2001).

The city is built on a settlement that dates back to the 10th century. The name Lublin can be traced in documents from the 12th century.

Lublin is an important industrial centre with chemical plants and machinery factories.
It has six schools of higher education ( including University of Lublin ).
