Lord Kitchener (Calypso)

Lord Kitchener (April 18, 1922 - February 11, 2000) was one of the most internationally famous calypso singers. Born Aldwyn Roberts in Trinidad, Kitchener's success began after he moved to England and soon became massively popular there. His fame continued throughout the 1950s, when calypso achieved international success. Later, though, he moved towards soca, a related style, and continued recording through out the 1970s
