Libeled Lady

Libeled Lady is a 1936 comedy film. A newspaperman (William Powell) uses his much-abused fiancee (Jean Harlow[?]) to avoid a libel lawsuit filed by a woman (Myrna Loy) he has accused of breaking up marriages. It also stars Spencer Tracy.

The film was written by George Oppenheimer[?], Howard Emmett Rogers[?], Wallace Sullivan[?] and Maurine Dallas Watkins, and directed by Jack Conway[?].

The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
