Leporids are one or more of the fifty species of rabbits and hares which form the Leporidae family of mammals. Leporids differ from pika having short furry tails, and elongated ears and hind legs.

Lepoirds are native across the world except in Oceania where their introduction has wiped out at least dozens of species of marupials unique to Australia.
