Lemsterland

Lemsterland (population: 12,962) is a municipality in the northern Netherlands, in the province of Friesland. The municipality covers an area of 124.37 km² (of which 47.70 km² water).

The municipality of Lemsterland consists the following towns, villages and townships: Bantega[?], Delfstrahuizen[?], Echten[?], Echtenerbrug[?], Eesterga[?], Follega[?], Lemmer[?], Oosterzee[?], Oosterzee-Buren[?].

The Ir.D.F. Woudagemaal (D.F. Wouda Steam Pumping Station) at Lemmer is a World Heritage Site.
