The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was the first Game from the Legend of Zelda series to be released on the NintendoGamecube.
Nintendo's decision to render the game in cel-shading[?] was controversial among zealous Zelda fans prior to its release, as it gave the game a look similar to Japanese Anime. The public was divided to whether or not the graphics would turn out well or not. However on its release the game received critical acclaim, rating scores above 90% from most reviewers.
A special bonus disc was given out to people who pre-ordered the game, containing a direct port of the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Gamecube as well as an unreleased version of it named Ura Zelda, or Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Master Quest (which was planned to be released for N64 Disc Drive 64DD[?]).
