Law of heat conduction

Newton's law of heat conduction says that the heat flow is proportional to the temperature difference Δ T:

dq/dt = K Δ T

K is the heat resistance of the material over which the temperature difference is maintained.

It is the thermal equivalent of Ohm's law for electric flow; although it is much older it is less known.
