Larceny

Larceny is a crime, and the form of theft which involves taking another's property without violence or intimidation[?], as contrasted to robbery. It should also be distinguished from embezzlement, which involves property entrusted to the thief. Pickpocketing, rustling[?], and shoplifting are generally forms of larceny. Grand larceny involves stealing a significant amount of property, in the US this is defined as an amount valued at $200 or more.
