La Jonquera
La Jonquera is a city in Catalonia, Spain, just by the border with France.
The area has always been an important pass through the Pyrenees. A big contemporary motorway runs not far from the ancient Roman way, the Via Augusta. Not far there is an altar erected by Pompey.
