Koksijde is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Koksijde proper, Oostduinkerke[?] and Wulpen[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Koksijde had a total population of 19,729 (9,660 males and 10,069 females). The total area is 45.18 km² which gives a population density of 436.68 inhabitants per km².
