Knockout Kings

Warning: wikipedia contains spoilers

Knockout Kings is a game that was produced for the Playstation in 1998.

Knockout Kings gives the user a chance to slug it out with 32 real fighters, men of the caliber of Muhammad Ali, Marvin Hagler, Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar De La Hoya, Larry Holmes, Jake LaMotta, Roberto Duran, Alexis Arguello and Ray Mancini to name a few. It also gives the user the opportunity to match these guys against each other, and the fights are usually exciting and action packed. In the slugfest mode, fighters can knock each other out at any given moment of the fight, or suffer 6 or 7 knockdowns and still last the distance.

The championship bouts are only for 10 rounds and not for 12 as in real life. In the career mode, a fighter is made to retire right after winning the title and defending it for only the first time, and there is no women's boxing.

Knockout Kings' sequel, Knockout Kings 2002[?] came with the same boxers from the earlier version, plus a few more boxers, like Naseem Hamed.

Felix Trinidad came as an extra boxer on the Knockout Kings 2003[?] game edition.
