Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction

The Institute for Sex Research at Indiana University was founded in 1947 by Alfred Kinsey, then an entomologist and zoologist at Indiana University. Its original goals were the study of human sexuality and human sexual behavior. The Institute is now called the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction.
