Kate Winslet

Kate Elizabeth Winslet (born October 5, 1975) is a British actress most famous for her role in the 1997 blockbuster movie Titanic. Her career started in 1994 when she performed her first leading role as Juliet Hulme in Peter Jackson´s "Heavenly Creatures". Since then she acted in several films, such as "Sense and Sensibility", "Jude[?]", "[[A Kid in King Arthur`s Court]]", "Titanic", "Hamlet", "Hideous Kinky[?]", "Holy Smoke[?]", "Iris" and "The Life of David Gale[?]", earning her three Oscar nominations and two Golden Globes[?]. In 1997 she got married to director Jim Threapleton[?] with whom she has a baby girl called Mia. Since her divorce in 2001 her new lover is director Sam Mendes.
