Karl Fritjof Rolvaag

Karl Rolvaag(1913-1990) was an American politician. He served as the 31st governor of Minnesota from March 25,1963 to January 2, 1967 as a Democrat.

The 1962 election was held November 6, 1962, but the results were not known until March 21, 1963. With almost 1.3 million votes cast for governor, Karl Rolvaag won by 91 votes after he was granted a recount. Rolvaag won by a margin of .0007, over Elmer Lee Andersen which was the closest gubernatorial election ever in Minnesota.
