Elmer Lee Andersen

Elmer L Andersen(June 17, 1909-) is an American politician. He served as the 30th governor of Minnesota from January 2,1961 to March 25, 1963 as a Republican.

The 1962 election was held November 6, 1962, but the results were not known until March 21st, 1963. With almost 1.3 million votes cast for governor, Karl Fritjof Rolvaag won by 91 votes after he was granted a recount. Rolvaag won by a margin of .0007, which was the closest gubernatorial election ever in Minnesota.
