Kai Tangata

In Polynesian mythology, Kai Tangata is a mortal who married the goddess Waitiri, who later left him because he offended her. Before she returned to heaven as a cloud, she taught Kai Tangata how to fish.

With Waitiri, he was the father of Hema.
