Jonathan Franzen

Jonathan Franzen (born 1959) is a USA novelist and essayist.

Franzen's The Corrections, a novel of social criticism, garnered considerable critical acclaim in the United States. Publicity surrounding the book drew him into a well-publicized spat with television talk show hostess Oprah Winfrey, who cancelled an interview with Franzen after he published an article about his experiences with one of her production teams.

Franzen lives in New York City.
