John R. Keohane

John Keohane (19XX-September 11, 2001) was a lawyer. He was assistant general counsel for Zurich Insurance[?]'s Global Energy Division. He lived in Jersey City[?].

He died at age 41 in the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attack in the destruction of the World Trade Center.

He had successfully evacuated his offices at One Liberty Plaza[?] and met Mike Lyons, his domestic partner of 18 years, who worked nearby, and was talking on his cell phone with his mother when he was struck and killed by debris when the second tower collapsed. A priest found him two minutes later and performed last rites.

He was survived by his mother, Mary Keohane, and Lyons. Lyons committed suicide on March 1, unemployed, suffering from multiple sclerosis, and running out of money.
