John Portman

John Portman (December 4, 1924 -) is a late twentieth century American architect and developer known for his giant multi-storied atriums[?] in his buildings particularly Hyatt hotels. Despite being hired by Hyatt[?], owned by the Pritzker[?] family, he never won a Pritzker Prize in architecture. He is from Atlanta where much of his work can be seen, and was a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology.
