John G. Avildsen

John G. Avildsen is a Hollywood film director who has directed a few classics.

Mr Avildsen's movies include Rocky, with Sylvester Stallone, and The Karate Kid, with Ralph Maccio[?] and Pat Morita[?].

The Karate Kid is in essence a karate version of Avildsen's first hit, the aforementioned Rocky.
