Jean-Luc Picard

Jean-Luc Picard, a character in the fictional Star Trek universe, played by Patrick Stewart.

He was the captain of the starship Enterprise D, and now, currently captain of the Federation starship USS Enterprise E.

The original Dr. Jean Picard[?] was a French scientist and high-altitude balloonist[?], and several other members of the Piccard family including Jean's brother Auguste and grandson Bertrand[?] are known for ballooning[?].
