Japanese archery uses archery that is long compared to normal. The place to hold is placed 1/3 from the bottom.

The sport of Japanese archery is usually competed by striking targets with arrows.The target is 40 centemeters in diameter and is placed 30meters away. The one who has the most arrows in the target wins. yabusame[?] is also a type of Japanese archery but is done while riding a horse.

There are many styles in Japanese archery. The Ogasawara style and Honda style are most famous.
