Japan standard time

The Japan Standard Time (日本標準時間) is a standard timezone in Japan that is 9 hours ahead of GMT: when it is midnight (00:00) in GMT, it is 9 am (09:00) in Japan Standard Time.

All cities in Japan are under this standard time, originally established by Akashi[?], located exactly on 135 degree east longitude.

The difference to GMT is the same as Korea standard time.
