James Goldman

James Goldman (June 30, 1929 - October 28, 1998) was an American playwright, and screenwriter, and brother of William Goldman.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois. He is most noted as the author of The Lion in Winter and author of the book of Follies. He died in New York, New York of a heart attack.
