Jack London (January 12, 1876 - November 22, 1916) was an author.

Born John Griffith Chaney in San Francisco, California, he was an American author of over 50 books.

In 2001, his novel Call of the Wild[?] would be listed as one of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century by the editorial board of the American Modern Library.
