Izegem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the city of Izegem proper and the towns of Emelgem[?] and Kachtem[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Izegem had a total population of 26,532 (13,006 males and 13,526 females). The total area is 25.60 km² which gives a population density of 1036.41 inhabitants per km².
