Indonesia is an archipelago made of 18,108 islands (latest satellite images), whereof about 6,000 are inhabited.

Sumatra
Java
Borneo (Kalimantan)
Sulawesi (formerly known as Celebes)
New Guinea (eastern half is the independent country of Papua New Guinea)
