Isabella Augusta Gregory

Isabella Augusta Gregory (1852-1932), better known simply as Lady Gregory, was an Irish dramatist.

She was born Isabella Augusta Persse, and married Sir William Henry Gregory[?] in 1880. With W B Yeats, she co-founded the Abbey Theatre, Dublin[?], and wrote numerous short works for its players, including:

  • Spreading the News (1904)
  • The Rising of the Moon (1907)
