Geography Iron Mountain Lake is located at 37°41'20" North, 90°37'23" West (37.688752, -90.623180)¹.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.4 km² (2.1 mi²). 5.1 km² (2.0 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 5.29% water.

Demographics As of the census of 2000, there are 693 people, 265 households, and 187 families residing in the city. The population density is 135.8/km² (351.8/mi²). There are 380 housing units at an average density of 74.5/km² (192.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 98.12% White, 0.00% African American, 0.14% Native American, 0.14% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 1.59% from two or more races. 3.32% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There are 265 households out of which 34.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.6% are married couples living together, 10.6% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.1% are non-families. 24.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
