Inside Monkey Zetterland

Inside Monkey Zetterland was a film penned by former child actor Steve Antin. Semi-autobiographical, it follows the life of the title character, a former child actor living in Los Angeles, California with his girlfriend (played by Debi Mazar.) His mother, Katherine Helmond[?], a famous soap star, harasses him to be more like his hairdresser brother. His lesbian sister (Patricia Arquette[?]) has run away from her pregnant lover (Sofia Copolla[?].) And as if these details weren't enough, the kooky woman across the street (Sandra Bernhard) and a rabid fan of his mother's work (Ricki Lake) seem to be stalking the entire family. (The film also features cameos by Martha Plimpton and Rupert Everett[?] as radical gay rights terrorists on a suicide mission.) The film won several awards at film festivals but didn't gain much commercial success.
