Human ecology

Human ecology is a sociological field which studies the relationships between humans and their environment. Human ecology is prominant in rural sociology. Major topics within this field include livestock confinement operations[?], scenic amenities[?], urban sprawl.

Studies in human ecology may report things like, "Humans prefer to live where there is sunshine, moderate temperatures, and large bodies of water."
