Template for historical anniversary pages

This page is meant to be a style guide for historical anniversary pages (e.g. January 1, January 2, January 3, etc.) It would be nice, if all 366 historical anniversary pages would be consistent in style. (If you want to add something to 'January 1', please don't edit this page but go to January 1)

January 1 is the 1st day of the year in the Gregorian Calendar. There are 364 days remaining (365 in leap years).

The "mathematically challenged" (or lazy) can go to http://carib.stanford.edu/gert/tree/julian_noleap for a table showing what day of the year a certain date is, or http://carib.stanford.edu/gert/tree/julian_leap for leap years.

I used this style to add some information to October 5 which I found interesting and while not a Historical Anniversary, fits for the "October 5" page.
