Heworth

Heworth is a village in the unitary authority of City of York in the north of England, close to the centre of York, Yorkshire and north of Osbaldwick.

The village is of Roman origin; there is a Roman cemetery nearby.

The former workhouse is now a hospital. The village became a Conservation Area in 1975.
