Heuvelland is a
municipality located in the
Belgian province of
West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of
Dranouter[?],
Kemmel[?],
Klijte[?],
Loker[?],
Nieuwkerke[?],
Westouter[?],
Wijtschate[?] and
Wulveringem[?]. On January 1st, 2000 Heuvelland had a total population of 8,399 (4,277 males and 4,122 females). The total area is 95.54
km² which gives a
population density of 87.91 inhabitants per km².
The word heuvelland is Dutch for hilly country.
