Hermann Julius Oberth was a German physicist, pioneer of astronautics and rocket engineer, born: June 25, 1894, Hermannstadt[?], Siebenbürgen, Transylvania, Austro-Hungary (now Sibiu[?], Romania), died: December 29, 1989, Feucht[?] near Nuremberg, Germany.
