History Orginally Part of Normandy, as a Channel Island ist the only part of France still a British Crown dependancy. It was occupied by the Nazis during World War II.
Politics Herm is a dependency of Guernsey.
Geography Herm is only 1½ miles long and less than ½ a mile wide. It is oriented so that its greatest length runs north/south. The northern half of the coastline is surrounded by sandy beaches, the southern half is rocky.
