Hedemora

Hedemora is a municipality in central Sweden, in the county of Dalarna (Dalecarlia). The municipality covers an area of 838.1 km². Of the total population of 15857, 7875 are male, and 7982 are female. The population density of the community is 19 inhabitants per km².

The town Hedemora was founded in 1446, which means it is the oldest and only medival town in Dalarna (Dalecarlia). The centre of Hedemora consists of many old buildings, often built of wood.
