Heathenry

Heathenry is the ancient religion of the Germanic peoples, nowadays also known by the name of Asatru.

Some people make the distinction that Heathenry is the religion of the Germanic peoples in general and Asatru that of Scandinavians because of the Scandinavian origin of the word. Thus Heathenry could be distinguished into

Asatru, being Scandinavian Heathenry
Continental Heathenry (in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, etc.)
British Heathenry (mainly in England)
