Hamelin-Pyrmont

Hamelin-Pyrmont (German: Hameln-Pyrmont) is a Kreis (district) in the southeastern part of Lower Saxony, Germany. Area 796 km², population 163,700 (1999). The district's capital is Hamelin (Hameln).

The district is located in the northern part of the Weserbergland[?] mountains. The Weser river enters the district in the south, runs through Hamelin and leaves in the northwest towards Rinteln.

Towns in the district: Hamelin, Bad Pyrmont[?], Hessisch-Oldendorf[?], Bad Münder[?].
